Metro Vancouver detached homes prices continue to slip despite rising sales

Metro Vancouver detached house price decline continues into October, allaying prospective homebuyer fears that increase in sales witnessed in September would translate to higher prices.

The OpenHousing Home Price Index for Metro Vancouver single family detached homes – calculated using the generally-accepted and transparent repeat sales or Case-Shiller method1 – fell 9% year-over-year, the October mid-month update shows.
