Flippers make $165K flipping downtown condo during pandemic with copy-and-paste listing

A pair of flippers in Vancouver have made a cool $165,000 flipping a downtown condo during the pandemic with a mostly copy-and-paste sales listing.

Student Lola Pearl Quinn and technical recruiter XiuQi Wang bought the condo at 310-933 Seymour Street for $565,000 in October 2020, according to public records1.

A little over six months later, Quinn and Wang listed the property for $681,800 and sold it for $730,000.

The sold price reflects a gain of $165,000 or nearly 30% before fees.

The property was listed on Airbnb as a short-term listing at some point before being sold.

Records also show that the sellers never lived in the property.

The property description in the original listing read: “The double height loft features impressive 15′ ceilings, with plenty of natural light provided by the floor to ceiling windows. The unit is looking into 2nd floor garden. The brand new floors and the spacious, open concept layout form the ideal blank canvas for you to sculpt your living space to perfection. The enclosed solarium and nook under the stairs present even more options, including a work from home office, dining area or whatever your imagination decides. The updated kitchen is equipped with brand-new stainless steel appliances and features a movable kitchen island with multiple position options. 2nd level bedroom has a wrap around walk-in closet, in-suite laundry and a birds-eye view of your space. Enjoy the rooftop garden with panoramic view of the city, water and mountains.”
